Tiger Den Updates

November 14, 2008

The Tigers have been busy!

We are very proud of all our Tigers receiving their Bobcat badges at the October pack meeting. We just completed a go see it at the Parker Police Station where the scouts had a lot of fun learning about police work, all about 911, & what happens if you get arrested.

The Tigers are planning a go see it on 12/30/08 to go to the Channel 9 News Station. We’ve completed go see its to Delaney Farms, as well as gone on a go see it nature hike at Cherry Creek State Park. We only have 1 more go see it to go after the tv station.

The Tigers have also just finished all five of their required Den achievements on the way to their Tiger badges. It’s now up to the families to finish the Family achievements. The Tigers will now focus attention on completing some more electives & belt loops.

Here are the highlights so far:

  • played soccer together
  • started Tiger den scrapbooks
  • made puppets
  • made leaf rubbing art
  • played lots of fun buddy and icebreaker games

Up next, we’ll be feeding the birds by making birdfeeders & doing a couple of projects for the upcoming holidays.

Good Turn Week

November 14, 2008

Please deliver all food collected by your scout from the food drive to Canyon Creek Elementary, between 11:00 am & 12:00 pm on Saturday the 15th. Taking part in this activity gives your scout a service project credit which the scout may use towards the completetion of a badge requiring a service project. We encourage all scouts to participate as this benefits several local orginizations and the needy at an important time of the year.
