Webelos rough it despite the weather to earn their badges

May 17, 2011

Ok, so it wasn’t roughing it too much, but despite the cold, rainy weather the Webelos spent the day working on their badges. The boys took a hike around Quincy reservoir and that night had a great campfire and tacos in a bag for dinner.  Don’t knock it till you try it!!! Dinner was followed up with the traditional s’mores.  The Den leader managed to find some HUGE marshmallows, a big Hershey bar and Reese’s peanut butter cups with so much sugar we couldn’t get them to sit hence the somewhat blurry pictures. We also sang campfire songs and played games.

The Webelos dens visited the Arapahoe County Crime Lab to fulfill a few requirements. The turnout was great and the boys had a good time.

Join Night

September 1, 2010

Thank you boys and parents for attending last nights join night. We had an outstanding turnout. If you are new to the pack and have any questions please feel free to contact the cubmaster or committee chairman. For the tigers I know you guys are roaring to get going. As soon as we get a tiger leader up to speed we will get you going. This should be about a week.

Lastly I want to thank the parents for the number of parents that said they wanted to volunteer. I had more parents want to help out than we currently have positions. That is extremely rare and shows we will continue to have  a strong pack. If you would like to help out but not carry a leadership role please let Phil Walz or Aaron Hoy know. Thanks again. This is going to be a great year for pack 803

Awesome Raingutter Regatta Night

September 1, 2010

There were some fast boats and some great looking ones too that were made.  Great job to everyone. We hope all the scouts and friends and family enjoyed our first annual raingutter regatta.  Nearly the entire pack participated including a large number of family members which was great to see. We are planning on making this an annual event so if you have suggestions please tell a committee member or the cubmaster. We are trying to collect some pictures so we can post them to the site.

The Pack needs your help!

July 16, 2009

Pack 803 needs new leaders to replace our out-going leaders. The pack can only be successful if parents take the time to support the scouts in the pack. Without volunteers the pack will be forced to simply not run specific dens until leaders step forward.

We currently have the following positions open:

We will not be having a Webelos I, Bear, or Tiger Den this year if we do not get parental volunteers for those open den leader roles listed above.

For those interested in volunteering for any of our open positions please contact Matt Hess at (303) 747-5607 or mxhess (at) gmail (dot) com. Refunds for all direct training costs will be provided for those showing course completion/certification. Resources are available to aid in guiding den leaders with activities, ideas and plans. All leaders are exempt from being asked/expected to volunteer with other pack activities such as coordinating specific events.
